Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to welcome you to Medical Informatics Europe 2027, taking place in Tallinn, Estonia, from 26 to 30 April 2027.
MIE 2027 is organised by the Estonian Medical Informatics Association in close cooperation with the European Federation for Medical Informatics, Tallinn University of Technology, the University of Tartu, Estonian hospitals, and the medical and health informatics industry and governmental institutions.
The conference will be held at Kultuurikatel, Tallinn Creative Hub—a renovated historic power plant transformed into a modern and sustainable venue with versatile conference and event spaces.
Tallinn offers a unique combination of a well-preserved medieval Old Town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, high-quality restaurants, and a compact city layout where key locations are within walking distance. Estonia is also recognised for its advanced digital governance and national eHealth system, which has been in operation since 2008.
The theme of MIE 2027 is:
Empowering people with trusted, sustainable, and connected health data for active and healthy longevity.
The conference will focus on four main pillars: creating a collaboration forum for clinicians, medical informaticians, and industry; inspiring and supporting young professionals in medical informatics; addressing European Health Data Space readiness and related challenges in Estonia, the Baltics, and the Nordics; and bringing war and defence medical informatics into focus.
We warmly invite researchers, clinicians, healthcare professionals, industry representatives, policymakers, students, and young professionals to join us in Tallinn for MIE 2027.
We look forward to welcoming you to Tallinn!
